Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Quant Nugget (the "Service"), operated by Quant Nugget ("we," "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Quant Nugget is an educational platform for learning quantitative finance, including written lessons, interactive code that runs in your browser, and illustrative datasets. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.

2. Not financial advice

The Service is for education only and is not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Please read our Disclaimer, which is incorporated into these Terms. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-download, harvest, or systematically copy the datasets, lessons, or other content, or attempt to access data or areas of the Service not intended for you;
• copy, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the content except as expressly allowed;
• interfere with, overload, or circumvent the security or rate limits of the Service, or use automated means to access it in a way that burdens our systems;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

5. Your content

If you submit content to us, for example through the feedback form or a support message, you retain ownership of it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content for the purposes of operating, improving, and supporting the Service (for example, reviewing feedback or replying to a message). Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

6. Intellectual property

The Service and its content (lessons, code, design, and branding) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to access the content for your own learning. Market and other data may be provided by third parties and is made available "as is" for educational use only.

7. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Some features may be offered as a paid subscription. If and when paid plans are available, then before you are charged we will clearly disclose the price, billing frequency, and renewal terms and obtain your consent. Subscriptions may automatically renew until cancelled; you may cancel at any time through the same account channel you used to subscribe, and cancellation stops future renewals. All fees are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. Cancelling stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. We will give advance notice of price changes as required by law.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service or any data will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading or investment losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, USD $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
