Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Quant Nugget ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Quant Nugget is operated from the United States. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your name and email address, and any details you choose to add. We use this to sign you in and identify your account.
• Learning progress. When signed in, we store which lessons you have started or completed so we can show your progress. This is kept in our database (Supabase) and tied to your account.
• Usage data. We record basic, mostly aggregated events about how lessons are used (for example, that a lesson was opened) to improve the curriculum. For signed-out visitors this is associated only with a temporary, random session identifier stored in your browser, not with your identity.
• Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising or ad-tracking cookies.

Cookies and local storage

The only cookies we set are the strictly-necessary ones our authentication provider uses to keep you securely signed in. These are essential to the service and cannot be turned off while you are logged in. Because we use no advertising or non-essential tracking cookies (and our analytics is cookieless), we do not display a cookie-consent banner. We also use your browser's local/session storage for functional purposes such as a temporary session id and app preferences.

How we use your information

• To provide, secure, and operate the site and your account.
• To save and display your learning progress.
• To understand and improve the lessons and overall experience.
• To respond to your messages and support requests.

Service providers

We share information only with vendors that help us run the site, under their own terms: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database/storage), and Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics). We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International data transfers

Quant Nugget is operated from the United States, and our service providers (Clerk, Supabase, Vercel) may process and store information in the United States or other countries where they operate. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Data retention

We keep account and progress data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see below).

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or opt out of any non-essential communications, by emailing support@quantnugget.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California residents under the CCPA), you may have additional rights over your personal information; we honor applicable requests.

Third-party links

Lessons and other pages may link to third-party sites (for example, reference material or regulatory bodies). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we don't operate, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

Children

The Service requires users to be at least 18 years old, and Quant Nugget is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
